Action Teams to Help Afghan WomenTaliban's Threat to HumanityOur Campaign to Stop Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan has worked tirelessly to bring to the attention of U.S. policymakers that the Taliban must be stopped and that the war it is waging against women and ethnic minorities in Afghanistan poses a real threat to global security and to U.S. national security. With the help of hundreds of thousands of supporters, our campaign played a major role in preventing recognition of the Taliban by the United States and the United Nations. Now, with the U.S. drive to end terrorism, we must make sure that restoration of the rights of Afghan women and girls and their freedom and safety are not forgotten and are a central objective of U.S. foreign policy. |
